Movement Mural

2020, 13x78ft, cement paint This mural was completed for the Lehigh Valley Parkour Academy to decorate their space. There were several interesting design points I had to consider; the mural was to cover the wall and hide shoe marks, be useful for coaching, and be aesthetically pleasing but not visually distracting for students. The color choices were based on the Academy’s current branding.

Don’t Lick the Art

2020, Steel Pipe, Clamps, Glow Sticks Collaboration with Isabel Andrews (isabelandrewsart.com), Don’t Lick the Art was an interactive sculptural experiment. It was meant to be touched, climbed on, played on, and otherwise interacted with, in addition to being visually appealing. The piece was named for one way we don’t recommend interacting with it.

Prayer Mural

2018, 4x7ft, Interior Paint This mural was completed for a local church, to create a calming space for their prayer room. I worked with church leaders to decide on a design that referenced some scriptural themes, and was inspired by the look of stained glass for this mural.

Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders

2018, 5x10ft, Interior Paint I designed this mural as a collaborative creation that my young students (preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten classes) could assist and participate in creating. It was designed to represent the childcare center in which it was painted, reflecting all the age groups the center served. The students assisted with the color blocks, and I completed the children’s silhouettes, lettering, and finishing touches.
